What is SVG File Extension and How to Open it?

What is an SVG file?

SVG file refers to Scalable Vector Graphics File. SVG files are denoted with the.SVG file extension at the end of the filename. SVG file formats are written in the XML-based text format for describing how an image should appear. The SVG file format is resolution-independent because these files can be reported to different sizes without losing its quality as the text included in SVG files represents the graphics. And that is why all websites and the print graphics are mostly built in the SVG file format to be resized to fit in the different designs for the future without any loss of data.

When an SVG file is compressed in the GZIP file compression as a conclusion, the data will end up with the.SVGZ file extension will reduce the file’s size by 50 percent to 80 percent smaller than the original file and are not related to the graphics format. They are still stored as the Game files where Games such as Return to the Castle and Grand Theft will autosave the game’s progress. SVG files are the Vector Graphic Format based on the XML that displays the graphics on the internet and other environments.
