What is MP4 File Extension and How to Open it?
What is an MP4 File?
Files with the MP4 File Extension are known as the MPEG-4 video file format. MP4 is one of those common video file formats used for downloading and streaming videos from the internet. MP4 file format is a highly versatile and compressed video file format that can also save audio, subtitles, and images. These files were generated under the standard ISO/IEC 14496-12:2001 by ISO/IEC and MPEG that stands for Motion Picture Experts Group. MP4 file format has become an international standard for audio-visual coding just because of this standard.
The very high compression degree used in MP4 videos permits the files to be much smaller in size than the other video formats. By reducing the file size, it does not immediately impact the quality of the File. It retains almost all the original quality, making an MP4 file a portable and web-friendly video file format.
